Paul André Attie, born in Haiti’s country side, is a dedicated individual who has dedicated his life to social assistance, environmental conservation, and community development. Growing up partly in the mountains of Seguin, he was inspired by his father, Winthrop, who devoted his life to caring for people and the environment. From a young age, Paul witnessed his father's selfless work and developed a deep passion for making a positive impact on his surroundings.
In 2004, Paul left Haiti to pursue higher education and explore different countries, driven by his curiosity for diverse cultures and the environment. Throughout his travels, he gained invaluable experiences and knowledge, broadening his perspective on global issues and sustainable practices. These experiences solidified his commitment to returning to Haiti and using his skills to contribute to his homeland's development.
Now back in Haiti, Paul resides on the highest mountain peak, 2000 meters above sea level, where he actively supports his father's long journey of replanting the country. He collaborates with local peasants, assisting them in agricultural practices and encouraging the transformation of their products. Paul understands the importance of sustainable agriculture in improving livelihoods and preserving the environment.
Paul's main areas of interest lie in reforestation efforts, building infrastructure such as marshal roads, and cleaning the country's beaches. By focusing on reforestation, he aims to combat deforestation, restore biodiversity, and mitigate the effects of climate change. Additionally, Paul recognizes the potential of eco-tourism as a means of generating income and employment opportunities for the local population.
With his unwavering dedication, Paul André Attie continues to work tirelessly to uplift communities, protect the environment, and promote a more sustainable and equitable Haiti. His vision for a greener and economically thriving nation drives him to overcome obstacles and inspire others to join him on this transformative journey.
